ATLANTA--Thirty-two members of the Georgia State football team earned academic honors for the recently-completed fall semester, led by redshirt freshman defensive lineman Marcus Stetzer on the President's List.
The President's List recognizes students with a semester grade point average of 4.0 or higher with at least nine credit hours.
Ten GSU football players made the Dean's List, signifying a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher with at least nine credit hours, including starters Michael Hall, Ben Jacoby and Kalan Jenkins.
Another 21 Panthers achieved the Athletic Director's Honor Roll with a semester GPA of 3.2 or higher. The complete list of football honorees is below.
Overall, Georgia State student-athletes posted a combined grade point average of 3.04 for the fall semester, their second-best mark ever, and the Panthers maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 for the seventh consecutive semester. Following the fall, the cumulative GPA for the GSU student-athlete population stands at 3.03.
With a semester GPA of 3.04, the Panthers narrowly missed their all-time high of 3.05, set in the spring of 2009.
The football honorees are among the 166 individuals who earned academic honors, including 17 Panthers who were named to the GSU President's List, and another 80 student-athletes who reached Dean's List status.
